Joy Marie Wedmedyk
Joy Marie Wedmedyk has studied shamanism, mediumship, divination, and mysticism for over 40 years. She has extensively studied with traditional Elders from the Americas, Cuba and Africa. She is an initiated Yemaya priestess in Lucumi Orisha worship (Cuba), a Kontoumble Shaman (Burkina Faso, Africa), a Ganji initiate of the Wolf Clan (Seneca) and a member of the Oklevueha Native American Church.
Joy is an accomplished Medium, Diviner and Shamanic practitioner, offering guidance to others through these ancient traditions. Her deep connection to the Ancestors, and to the spirits of Heaven and the Light, opens the way for healing in this world and in the world of the Spirits. She is known for her unique reading style, using stones, trinkets and bones to reveal the best paths forward in your life and the mysteries contained within it.
Joy’s new book, Heart of the Elder: Good Elders and their Influence, co-authored with Lillith ThreeFeathers, was released in August 2018 and is available on both Amazon and Barnes and Noble. Joy was a quoted source for Drawing Down the Spirits by Kenaz Filan and Raven Kaldera (2009) and is a contributing author for Walking the Path of the Ancient Ways by Corvis Nocturnum (2012) and Calling to the Ancestors: An Ancestor Devotional by Timothy Schnieder (2015).
Joy has been traveling and teaching for over thirty years and is a sought after presenter at various Pagan, Neo-Pagan and New Age venues. As organizer for the Midwest Shamans Conference, Joy provides exceptional sessions for individuals to study the ways of the Elders and Shamans of the world. Through these settings she gives the participants an opportunity to experience, create, and learn from the cosmology, mythology, and wisdom of the people of the Earth.
Holy Waters is Joy's artistic venue of spiritual products available for sale on Etsy. Through the guidance of her Elders and good Spirits she crafts handmade Spiritual Plant Baths, Salt baths and Jewelry.
